Martec Engineering Improve Accessiblity in Schools and Nurseries
Martec Engineering is currently celebrating the successful design, manufacture and installation of a programme of 64 Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliant ramps in the West of Scotland.
Martec Engineering, who were awarded the contract by a local authority, were contracted to design and manufacture 64 DDA compliant ramps, for use i n schools and nurseries.
To comply with DDA regulations, many of the ramps differed in dimension and design to accommodate existing difficult or steep stepped accesses.
Martec Engineering have expert knowledge in the design and manufacture of access ramps for as well as an in depth knowledge of DDA legislation. They were therefore able to work in partnership with the local authority to produce ramps that were legally compliant provided practical and safe access.
However, despite the wide range of designs, Martec Engineering were still able to deliver all 64 ramps within a 16 week period.
